search engine marketing
how did I get into the top ten on Google, msn and other search engines
My website BaldlyGo.com went online in 2000, but I never worked on its search engine position as intensely as I did during this last year (2005). I never dreamt I’d see my site in the top ten in Google for so many words like hair loss solution, headshave, headshaving, hair loss story, online hairstyle, and many more.
Now, I can’t even think about going back--and, in fact, I don’t believe it will happen.

The first thing that I did, after reading about the importance of link popularity, was buy link-exchange software; spending money on this is not a must, however, as I'll explain later. I paid a one-time fee and have unlimited updates, and the script is installed on my server, allowing me to arrange my outgoing links in a fast and simple way. The software also checks that link partners are still linked to my site. The best part is that users can actually add their own links, and my job is just to approve them with a single click. You can read about the long list of features here.
If you don't want to invest money, you'll have to invest some time. Arrange the link partnerships yourself. Just remember that the quality of your link partners is more important than quantity. Choose those you can trust, and relatrd to the subject of your site.
Here you can find more link-popularity-related sites.

The second thing I did was move my hosting service to a much more credible hosting provider. Actually, I'm pretty sure that I'm now getting the best hosting service I possibly could. The amazing part is that the price is the same as that for the "cheap" hosting service that I used until this change--and that one was down almost every week, and I couldn't talk to anyone about it. In addition, I can pay my current hosting service monthly, in small portions. I also heard that it's best to register a domain for some years (not just one or two); by doing this you tell the engines you're serious. I use GoDaddy.com. and here are some more hosting providers.

The third and most important thing I did was to read one of Ken Evoy’s free ebooks. I learned so much from the affiliate master course–it was a most important eye-opener, and it actually changed my attitude and helped me get control of things in terms of website promotion and marketing. Yes, he mentions his product (which he is, of course, trying to sell) here and there, but he also explains how you can manage without buying his product--and I am a real-life example of this. (Want a hint? Work harder!). Download one of his ebooks (scroll to the bottom) or go straight to the action guide.

Good luck, and see you in Google’s top ten!
